Land banking, relocation and settlement of informal settlers to ensure security of land tenure and strict implementation of R.A. NO. 7279 otherwise known as “The Urban Development and Housing Act of 1992”.

Services
- Identify lands for socialized housing and resettlement areas for the immediate and future needs of the underprivileged and homeless in urban and rural areas;
- Allocate city-owned available lands for socialized housing to qualified housing beneficiaries in coordination with the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO)
- Keep records of qualified potential socialized housing beneficiaries;
- Prepare the needed contacts of selected and qualified socialized housing beneficiaries;
- Keep records/tracks of payment made by socialized housing beneficiaries;
- Extend technical assistance in the preparation of subdivision plans and schemes of socialized housing sites in coordination with the City Engineering Office (CEO);
- Facilitate dialogue between landowners and informal settlers to settle issues and problems especially on land tenure;
- Facilitate and extend services and coordinates among the city government offices for lots being offered for sale to the city as sites for socialized housing;
- Keep records and attend to the requirements of the Social Housing Finance Corporation should the city decide to be an originator of the Community Mortgage Program (CMP);
- Act as secretariat of the City Urban Developments of the Social Housing Board (UDHD) and as such, prepare notices of meeting and keep records of the minutes of UDHD meetings, and;
- Attend to documentary requirements and processing of financial to evictees in pursuit of RA 7279, or the Urban Development and Housing Act of 1992.
