EXECUTIVE ORDER 1 SERIES OF 2017
AN EXECUTIVE ORDER TRANSFERRING THE SUPERVISION AND CONTROL OF THE CITY ANTI-SQUATTING UNIT TO THE PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICE
WHEREAS, traffic congestion in the main thoroughfares and periphery of the public market is caused by vehicles and illegal vendors;
WHEREAS,it would be more convenient for the Public Safety Office to manage the traffic flow if the anti-squatting unit is placed under its supervision and control;
WHEREAS, the EEMU can concentrate more on the management of the public market and other economic enterprise of the City Government if it is eased of its obligation to control illegal vending and squatting;
NOW THEREFORE, by virtue of the power vested upon me by section 455, b, 2, ii of R.A. 7160, otherwise known as the local government code of 1991, I, CIELO KRISEL LAGMAN-LUISTRO, City Mayor of Tabaco City, do hereby transfer the supervision and control of the City Anti-Squatting Unit (CASU) to the Public Safety Office (PSO) and order the following:
Section I. Organization. The CASU is re-organized as an adjunct unit of the PSO and shall be composed of the original EEMU anti-squatting personnel headed by the following:
- DANILO BRILLANTES, Supervisor
- EDUARDO BERCES, Assistant Supervisor
- DANTE BONAOBRA, Assistant Supervisor
Section II. Functions. The PSO through the CASU shall implement strictly the anti-squatting provisions of Ordinance No. 16, series of 1997 as amended and other ordinances, issuances and directives that may be hereafter passed and issued. The CASU shall also recommend to the Sangguniang Panlungsod and the City Mayor policies pertinent to traffic and vendor management that should be passed and implemented.
Section III. Police Assistance. Tabaco PNP is hereby directed to assign three (3) permanent PNP personnel to assist the CASU in the performance of its functions.
Repealing clause. All local orders, directives and issuances or parts thereof which are inconsistent with this executive order are hereby repealed and modified accordingly.
