Hon. Reynaldo “Rey” Bragais is the duly elected City Mayor of Tabaco, Albay a
leader deeply rooted in genuine public service and dedicated to realizing a
vision of an inclusive and progressive Tabaco City. Mayor Rey has built his
political career on the foundations of honest governance, community-centered
programs, and proactive leadership.
He began his public service career as a Barangay Councilor of Barangay
Quinale. He was later elected as City Councilor, and subsequently served as Vice
Mayor of Tabaco City. His leadership further expanded when he became a
Board Member representing the First District of Tabaco for several terms.
Most recently, he also served as Acting Vice Governor of Albay before once
again being chosen by the people to lead Tabaco City as its Mayor.
Mayor Rey champions the advocacy of “Serbisyo asin Progreso” (Service and
Progress) — a governance philosophy anchored on the delivery of essential
services, people-oriented programs, and practical solutions to the everyday
challenges of his constituents.
He is widely recognized as a leader of the people—one who values
participatory governance, firmly believing that true progress stems from the
collective efforts of government, the private sector, and the citizenry.
He is committed to making Tabaco City a model of sustainable development,
good governance, and people-centered leadership in the entire Bicol Region.
Mayor Rey Bragais remains steadfast in his service to the people of Tabaco City,
guided by the principles of integrity, unity, and resilience in building a brighter
and more inclusive future for all Tabaqueños.
