EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 021 SERIES 2017

 

AN EXECUTIVE ORDER APPROVING THE PROPOSED TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OF THE PORTION OF ZIGA AVENUE FROM BONTO BOULEVARD JUNCTION TO CHINESE CEMETERY RELATIVE TO THE OBSERVANCE OF “UNDAS”.

WHEREAS, during the meeting called by the SP Committee on Transportation which counted the participation of representatives from PNP, BFP, CDRRMO, CHU, Barangay officials of the 8 concerned Barangays and private volunteer groups, it was agreed that a portion of Ziga Avenue should be closed to traffic to give way to the activities relative to the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day;

WHEREAS,Section 21 ( c ) of R.A. 7160 vests upon the Chief Local Executive the power to issue directives pertinent to the duration of temporary closure of national or local road, alley, park or square during an actual emergency, fiesta celebrations, public rallies, agricultural and industrial fairs, or an undertaking of public works and highways, telecommunications and waterworks projects;

NOW THEREFORE, by virtue of the power vested upon me by section 455, b, 2, ii of R.A. 7160, otherwise known as the local government code of 1991, I, CIELO KRISEL LAGMAN-LUISTRO, City Mayor of Tabaco City, APPROVES the Temporary Closure of the portion of Ziga Avenue from Bonto Boulevard Junction to Chinese Cemetery and do ORDER the following:

 

Duration

The temporary closure shall take effect starting 1:00 P.M. of November 1, 2017 to last until 8:00 P.M. of November 2, 2017.

 

Prohibited Acts

  1. Vehicles are prohibited from traversing or crossing the length of the identified portion of Ziga Avenue. The residents of Happy Homes Subdivision however are exempted from this prohibition and are allowed to cross using Buenconsejo Road.

a. Pass Cards shall be issued to exempted motorists and VIPs;

  1. Vending and Selling shall only be allowed in the identified areas outside the City, Catholic and Chinese Cemeteries.
  2. Selling, intake of alcoholic beverages and smoking are absolutely prohibited in the premises of the cemeteries.

 

Meal/Snack Allowance

Personnel of agencies and volunteers who are in-charge of maintaining peace and order in the cemetery premises shall be entitled to a meal/snack allowance sourced from City Government funds.

 

Repealing clause.  All local orders, directives and issuances or parts thereof which are inconsistent with this executive order are hereby repealed and modified accordingly.
