EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 031 Series of 2016

ORGANIZATION OF SPECIAL DRUG EDUCATION CENTER TEAM (SDECT)

 WHEREAS, DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2006-150 in particular, 2.2 of Implementing Policies enjoins the organization of the Special Drug Education Center Team in every City and Municipality;

WHEREAS, together with the Special Drug Education Center, it shall promote programs for drug abuse prevention with the end view of educating out-of-school youth (OSY) and street children regarding the pernicious effects of drug thereby contributing to their development as self-reliant and socially responsible members of society;

Now therefore, I, CIEOL KRISEL LAGMAN-LUISTRO, by the power vested in me as the municipal mayor, do hereby order the organization of the Special Drug Education Center Team in the City of Tabaco which shall be composed of the following:

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement programs and services on drug abuse prevention among the OSY and street children and coordinate/integrate/utilize related activities/services of other agencies such as advocacy and social preparation, technical assistance and capability building for implementer; and
2. Organize and mobilize volunteers to assist in the implementation of drug abuse prevention program in coordination with the PSWDO.
