City Ordinance No. 018- 2018

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE DRUG DEPENDENCE REINTEGRATION FUND  TO AUGMENT, SUPPORT AND SUSTAIN THE EFFORTS OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF TABACO  IN ADDRESSING THE ILLEGAL DRUG PROBLEM  AND  ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF THREE MILLION PESOS (₱ 3,000,000.00) CHARGEABLE AGAINST ANY AVAILABLE FUNDS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Tabaco, that:

SECTION 1. The Drug Dependence Reintegration Fund is hereby established to augment, support and sustain the efforts of the City Government of Tabaco in addressing the illegal drug problem, and allocating the amount of Three Million Pesos (₱ 3,000,000.00) chargeable against any available funds, subject to the following conditions:

• That the amount be used primarily for drug dependents’ rehabilitation and reintegration into their communities as economically productive and socially responsible citizens.
• That it shall not be extended to those who have surrendered but have returned to their old habit of engaging in illegal drugs.
• That it can be accessed to augment the procurement of medicines to be used for drug tests.
• Other measures that the Local Chief Executive (LCE) may deem appropriate.

SECTION 2. FUNDING. The amount of Three Million pesos (₱ 3,000,000.00) is hereby allocated for this purpose, chargeable against any available funds.

SECTION 3. EFFECTIVITY. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
